Exciting opportunities await for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants passionate about making a difference in students lives! This contract position offers a dynamic, supportive environment for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, located near Glendale, AZ. You'll support PreK-8th grade students, serving a diverse caseload of approximately 60-70with a mix of direct service and consult-only cases. The weekday schedule (Monday through Friday) offers 38 hours each week, allowing you to build relationships with students, educators, and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona COTA licensure required
- IVP fingerprint clearance card required
- Strong pediatric experience, ideally within school settings
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Compassionate and adaptable to the needs of children with varying abilities
- Team-oriented with a creative, solution-focused mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services under licensed OT supervision
- Partner with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students IEP goals
- Conduct direct interventions and consults as assigned
- Document therapeutic activities and progress with attention to detail
- Assist in evaluations and contribute insights for individualized education plans
- Create and implement engaging activities that foster independence and skill development for students
