Job Description

A staffing opportunity is available for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in a school-based setting located in Glendale, AZ. This contract role offers full-time hours, providing consistent work within an educational environment that focuses on supporting school-aged students.

Position Details:

  • Four full-time openings, each with a guaranteed 35 hours per week
  • Immediate start with contract ending on May 27th, 2026
  • Responsibilities include direct therapy, accurate documentation, and assistance with supervising an OT caseload
  • Work environment involves service to school-aged children, likely within grades K8
  • Candidates may have multiple school assignments and possibly travel between sites (travel time compensated if applicable)
  • Collaboration with licensed OTs, special education teams, and district supervision available
  • Support with IEP documentation and student progress monitoring

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Arizona Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • School-based experience preferred but not mandatory
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply; supervision and support will be provided
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to maintain confidential and professional conduct

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement OT treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed OT
  • Deliver direct, hands-on therapy services to students
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of daily therapy activities
  • Support IEP goals and actively participate in team meetings
