Step into a dynamic role serving K12 students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a contract position based in the heart of Hendry County. In this engaging school-based opportunity, you'll make a meaningful impact by supporting student success and functional development across multiple educational sites. Assignments are determined over the summer, and youll have the opportunity to experience a variety of school environments as you travel throughout the county.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida COTA license in good standing
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Confidence navigating multiple sites and working within a school-based interdisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students from kindergarten through high school
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support students IEPs and learning goals
- Employ evidence-based interventions to enhance students participation in academics and daily school routines
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district policies
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning for student success
- Adapt to varied school environments and communicate professionally with diverse teams
