What You'll Need:

  • Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Washington state licensure or eligibility to obtain it
  • Previous experience in a pediatric, educational, or school-based environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and other professionals
  • Organizational abilities for managing caseloads, documentation, and time efficiently
  • A passion for supporting children with diverse abilities and needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by Occupational Therapists
  • Support students with fine motor, sensory-motor, and daily living skills within classroom and school settings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy strategies
  • Maintain documentation of services, progress, and student outcomes in compliance with educational requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights for student planning
  • Adapt therapeutic interventions to maximize student engagement and success
