Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Valid state licensure to practice as a COTA
• Previous experience in educational environments, especially elementary school settings, is preferred
• Familiarity with providing behavioral interventions and supporting students academic goals
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability to engage a diverse student population

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to elementary-aged children in accordance with their IEPs and 504 plans
• Assist in implementing strategies to support academic achievement and classroom participation
• Address a variety of behaviors to enhance student independence and success in the learning environment
• Document progress, maintain treatment records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Engage with teachers and staff to create and modify classroom activities that foster motor, sensory, and behavioral development
• Help generalize therapy goals into students' daily routines for lasting growth
