Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a school setting located in Edmond, Oklahoma. This contract role involves working closely with educators and therapists to assist students in achieving their developmental and functional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the evaluation and treatment of students with physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed occupational therapists.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques to improve students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to monitor progress and provide appropriate modifications in the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning for student success.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric development and school-based therapy protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
