Key Qualifications:

• Active COTA license in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience or strong interest in working within a school environment
• Understanding of IEP process and accommodation strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with educators, students, and families
• Ability to adapt to varying student needs and classroom dynamics
• Skilled in documenting progress and providing feedback to supervising Occupational Therapist

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans to support student success across academic and functional areas
• Deliver direct therapy sessions to students as outlined in IEPs, targeting fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
• Collaborate closely with OT, teachers, and other support staff
• Monitor, record, and report student progress and participation
• Contribute valuable input during IEP meetings and assist with documentation as needed
• Provide support and resources to help teachers integrate OT strategies in the classroom
