Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school-based contract role near Dudley, MA. Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) for Massachusetts
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred, but open to recent graduates with a passion for pediatrics
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and diverse student needs
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Work one-on-one and in small groups to support student participation in classroom activities
- Assist with evaluations and contribute to documentation for Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Provide support, strategies, and recommendations to teachers and families to foster student growth
- Attend and participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
