As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play an important role in supporting students success within an educational setting. This contract role offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators, students, and families to provide hands-on therapy and reinforce life skills that empower young learners.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current COTA license in the state of Ohio
  • Experience in a pediatric, school-based, or clinical setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and student progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging environment for students

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in developing essential motor, social, and adaptive skills under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Implement individualized therapy programs and accommodate techniques for classroom success
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress and needs
  • Document and report on therapy sessions and student improvements in a timely manner
  • Assist in creating and modifying materials to support students access to their curriculum
  • Help facilitate a safe, inclusive, and engaging school environment for all learners
