Job Description
Put your expertise to work supporting students as a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a vibrant school setting. This onsite, full-time contract role serves a diverse K-12 caseload, allowing you to make a direct difference in the lives of children and adolescents. As a valued member of the educational team, youll collaborate closely with occupational therapists and educators to help students reach their fullest potential.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- An active Oklahoma COTA license
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, especially in a school or educational environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for both individual and group settings
- Familiarity with documentation practices and IEP requirements in a school setting is a plus
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering therapeutic interventions and activities under the guidance of an occupational therapist
- Assisting students in developing and improving functional skills for daily living and academic success
- Supporting the creation and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Accurately maintaining records and progress notes
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing valuable insights for student goals
- Engaging with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate integration of therapy strategies in the classroom
