Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). What we're looking for:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Iowa
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Ability to assist with individualized student therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic school environment

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting implementation of occupational therapy interventions and goals outlined in students' IEPs
  • Working with students individually or in groups to develop fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
  • Documenting progress and collaborating with teachers and related service professionals
  • Participating in meetings and contributing input on student progress and therapy recommendations
  • Assisting with sensory strategies, adaptive equipment, and modifications to help students participate fully in school activities
