Make a difference supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic educational setting. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Experience supporting children or adolescents, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to follow individualized education plans and therapist guidance faithfully
- Adaptable, proactive attitude with a passion for student welfare and growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy activities as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Support students in building fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence in school activities
- Document progress and communicate updates to the therapy team and educational staff
- Modify and adapt classroom tools or environments as needed to foster student engagement
- Participate in meetings and contribute observations to the IEP review process
