Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active COTA license in Vermont, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of IEP development and documentation requirements.
  • Adaptable and enthusiastic in dynamic school environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in delivering direct and consultative therapy services to students with diverse needs.
  • Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans and goals as outlined in IEPs.
  • Facilitate group and one-on-one sessions to improve students' fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
  • Document student progress and contribute to ongoing assessments and reports.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom.
  • Participate in meetings, team discussions, and professional development activities as required.
