Serving students from various grade levels, youll play an essential part in helping learners reach their full potentialacademically, socially, and developmentally. Desired Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification and necessary occupational therapy licensure for Oklahoma
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, teachers, and other support staff
- Strong organizational abilities and the adaptability to address diverse student needs
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach and a commitment to fostering inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Conduct group and individual sessions targeting fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills necessary for school success
- Participate in developing, updating, and documenting Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Maintain accurate, timely records and progress reports
- Consult regularly with educators and families to ensure consistent support and carryover of strategies
- Assist with the adaptation of classroom materials or activities to increase student participation
