Job Description

Starting in late August, this full-time, contract role offers the chance to collaborate with educators and therapists, creating a positive, supportive environment for learners with diverse abilities.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license (CT DPH License; NBCOT Exam passed)
  • Previous school-based experience highly valued
  • Experience working with a variety of disabilities across ages Pre-K12
  • Comfortable providing itinerant services district-wide
  • Dependable transportation to travel between schools as needed
  • Excellent adaptability and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support students' occupational therapy goals as outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Deliver direct services according to IEPs and treatment plans
  • Observe, assess, and document student progress accurately and thoroughly
  • Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families, ensuring seamless support
  • Contribute to a caring and inclusive school culture
