Embark on a rewarding contract assignment where your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will make a daily difference for K-12 students. Located just 20 minutes from Denvers vibrant amenities, this role offers the chance to support several schools in a collaborative environment focused on student development for the 2026-2027 school year.
In this full-time position, youll work alongside educators and licensed therapists to help students reach their academic and functional goals. Youll play an instrumental role in improving classroom participation and independence, all while fostering a positive and inclusive school climate.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active state licensure as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
- Previous experience in school settings working with K-12 students is highly desirable
- Ability to manage varying caseloads and adapt interventions to meet individual student needs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and therapy teams
- Tech-savvy and comfortable conducting interviews and meetings via Zoom
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT
- Implement treatment plans geared toward enhancing students performance in school activities
- Document progress and communicate outcomes effectively with the educational team
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and help develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Assist in creating a supportive learning atmosphere across assigned schools
