Job Description

This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide specialized support within an elementary school setting in Boston, MA. The role focuses on working with students in grades K-5, delivering onsite occupational therapy services that promote student development and success. This contract role during the current school year offers 20-30 hours per week, ideal for professionals aiming to make a meaningful impact in pediatric occupational therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to elementary students (K-5) to support their development and educational performance
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes in compliance with school protocols
  • Adapt therapeutic activities to meet diverse student needs within a school environment
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts COTA license
  • Experience working with children in school settings, preferably elementary grades K-5
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 20-30 hours weekly onsite in Boston, MA
