Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time school-based position with a school district in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This opportunity is ideal for a COTA looking to gain valuable experience supporting K-12 students while working alongside experienced Occupational Therapists in an educational setting.

The district is actively interviewing and open to both local and travel candidates.

Position Details

Responsibilities

  • Assist Occupational Therapists with implementing therapy plans and interventions
  • Support students in developing functional, academic, and life skills
  • Document student progress and session notes
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and educational staff
  • Participate in team meetings and paid administrative activities
  • Assist in maintaining therapy materials and equipment

Qualifications

  • Active Missouri COTA License required
  • Ability to pass district onboarding and fingerprinting requirements
  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
