Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Active Georgia state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Positive, flexible attitude and enthusiasm for empowering children and young adults
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists with assessment and treatment planning for students
- Implement prescribed therapy interventions within classroom or group settings
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Support teachers and staff by providing strategies to facilitate students engagement and access to curriculum
- Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
- Communicate effectively with parents, therapists, and school personnel
