Make a difference supporting students growth and engagement as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at a welcoming school community near Bethlehem, PA. This 35-hour-per-week, onsite contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your therapy skills within an educational setting, collaborating with therapists and teaching staff to help students access their curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania COTA license required
- Experience providing occupational therapy support in schools preferred
- Familiarity with common school-based documentation and IEP processes
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compliance with any state or district-specific requirements as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT
- Support students participation in academic and functional school activities
- Collect and document student data to report on progress and inform therapy adjustments
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to address students unique needs
- Adapt materials, routines, or environments to help students meet their goals
- Assist with screenings and assessments
- Maintain accurate records in alignment with district and state standards
