Job Description

Exciting opportunities are available for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) specializing in schools to provide support to young learners through itinerant services in preschool early intervention programs. These contract positions are based in Carbon and Lehigh counties, with a flexible assignment structure that may transition between early childhood and school-aged populations (PreK-12) as needed during the school year.

This full-time schedule spans 35 hours per week, with assignments running from ASAP through the 2026-27 school year, following a year-round Early Intervention calendar.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania COTA licensure
  • NBCOT certification and PPID number
  • Experience in school-based or early intervention settings highly preferred
  • Flexibility to adjust between preschool and school-age caseloads
  • Reliable transportation to multiple school and community sites as required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to preschool and occasionally school-age students, supporting their developmental and educational goals
  • Travel to assigned sites within Carbon or Lehigh County to serve students
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation in compliance with program and state standards
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
