Put your commitment to care and school-based impact to work by supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a contract basis near Bellevue, WA. You'll collaborate closely with therapists and educational staff to empower students of various ages and abilities, making a measurable difference in their daily learning and participation.
Key Qualifications:
- Current COTA certification and active state licensure (or eligibility)
- Prior experience in school environments preferred, but healthcare or pediatric backgrounds are welcomed
- Ability to work effectively with diverse types of disabilities
- Strong communication skills to partner with teachers, therapists, and families
- Comfortable adapting to the needs of multiple campuses and age groups
Responsibilities:
- Support occupational therapy goals as outlined by supervising OTs in the educational setting
- Assist with documentation, student progress monitoring, and caseload organization
- Implement therapeutic activities to foster fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Travel between assigned schools to provide hands-on interventions and classroom support
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve independence within their abilities
- Collaborate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for student success
