Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active COTA certification in Illinois or eligibility for licensure
- Experience working with school-aged children or in a related pediatric setting preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP documentation and therapy goal implementation
- Excellent ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and parents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Adaptability to changing schedules and diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services as prescribed by supervising occupational therapists
- Support students in achieving IEP goals through engaging therapeutic activities
- Document progress and maintain accurate records of student sessions and objectives
- Help modify classroom materials and environments to foster accessibility for all learners
- Contribute to the development of therapy strategies and participate in staff meetings
- Communicate regularly with teachers and families regarding student progress
