Youll be working with a diverse student population, providing essential occupational therapy support alongside a collaborative professional team.
Key Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Passion for working with K-12 students across a variety of needs and backgrounds
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and other specialists
- Comfortable engaging in virtual interviews via Zoom
- Ability to start promptly at the beginning of the academic year
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy support under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist with the development and implementation of student-focused therapy plans
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address the holistic needs of each student
- Adapt therapy approaches to fit developmental levels and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide ongoing communication with families and staff regarding student progress
