Job Description

Support student growth and development as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) providing itinerant services for preschool early intervention across Carbon and Lehigh counties. These contract-based positions focus on assisting children ages PreK through 12 and adapting to student needs as assignments may shift during the academic year. You'll collaborate closely with supervising occupational therapists, educators, and families to ensure young learners reach their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania COTA license and current NBCOT certification
  • PPID number required
  • Experience with preschool early intervention settings preferred
  • Flexible and adaptable to work with both preschool and K-12 students over the assignment
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Commitment to in-person service delivery

Role Expectations:

  • Provide occupational therapy support for preschool students within itinerant settings in one or more designated county locations
  • Assist the supervising OT in implementing individualized intervention plans and therapeutic activities
  • Travel to various schools and service locations as needed within Carbon or Lehigh County
  • Accurately document student progress and collaborate with team members, schools, and caregivers
  • Adapt interventions and techniques to meet the evolving needs of students, including transitions between early intervention and school-age services
