Job Description

A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a student in a center-based elementary school setting. This full-time, contract position runs from August through June, serving a student with mild to moderate care needs including seizure management. The student requires a CNA with pediatric experience to ensure attentive support throughout the school day.

Location: Scranton, PA (serving the local school district and nearby cities including Wilkes-Barre and Hazelton).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized nursing assistance and care to a student in a school environment.
  • Monitor and support the students health needs, including seizure precautions, as recommended by the medical team.
  • Collaborate with school staff and administration to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Comply with school district policies, including completing fingerprint clearance and onboarding procedures prior to start.
  • Attend scheduled virtual interviews and complete necessary training for role readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license valid in Pennsylvania.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Ability to manage mild to moderate care needs and respond promptly to medical situations.
  • Comfortable working independently in a 1:1 care setting within a school.
  • Available full-time (37.5 hours per week) for the school year contract.
