Job Description

This part-time opportunity in Putnam, CT supports a K-12 elementary school setting, providing transportation assistance and care for students with special needs. The role requires a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license in Connecticut and experience working as a paraprofessional. The assignment runs from ASAP through June and involves aiding students during van transportation in the morning and afternoon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive CNA services while accompanying students on the van for both morning and afternoon routes
  • Ensure student safety and comfort during transportation to and from the elementary school
  • Collaborate with school staff and transportation personnel to meet individual student needs
  • Monitor student well-being and report any concerns promptly

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Connecticut CNA certification is required
  • Experience as a paraprofessional or comparable role supporting school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and observational skills to effectively support student needs
  • Ability to follow scheduled pick-up and drop-off times with reliability and professionalism

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, part-time transportation support
  • Morning route pick-up at 7:10 AM with return at 9:15 AM
  • Afternoon routes Monday to Thursday pick-up at 12:50 PM with return at 3:30 PM
  • Friday afternoon pick-up at 10:50 AM
