This full-time, contract opportunity places you near Olathe, KS, supporting a student with medical fragilities on a dedicated 1:1 basis. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, youll provide compassionate, hands-on care in an educational environment, ensuring the students safety and comfort throughout the school day. This role is perfect for CNAs seeking a rewarding, student-focused experience outside of traditional healthcare facilities. Compensation for this position is $24 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Current CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification in good standing
- Experience with medically fragile individuals, pediatrics, or school settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and families
- Knowledge of best practices for infection control, personal care, mobility support, and emergency response
- Reliable, prompt, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily 1:1 care for a student with complex medical needs
- Implement health plans as directed by nursing or medical staff
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and personal hygiene
- Monitor the students health status and report any changes promptly to the appropriate personnel
- Collaborate closely with school staff to facilitate student participation and inclusion
- Maintain accurate daily records and documentation of provided care
- Respond to emergencies or changes in condition in accordance with training
