Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide dedicated one-on-one care for a female student in a high school setting. This contract position is based in Mesa, AZ, with assignments in Peoria, AZ, and runs from January 6, 2026, through May 21, 2026. The role supports the student with specialized medical needs requiring experience and confidence in performing straight catheterization twice daily. Supervision is provided by a qualified paraeducator, RBT, CNA, or LPN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing support to a female high school student in a 1:1 setting
  • Perform straight catheterization twice daily with skill and professionalism
  • Collaborate with school-based staff and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and report any changes in the students condition
  • Adhere to all district policies and healthcare protocols

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Arizona Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license is required
  • Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications (both required)
  • Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Must be female, per student need

Position Details:

  • Location: Mesa, AZ with assignments at Vistancia Elementary, Peoria, AZ
  • Up to 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday during the school day
  • Contract duration: January 6, 2026 to May 21, 2026
  • Onsite work only, no interviews requireddecisions made quickly based on experience

This position offers minimal training, with the opportunity to connect directly to the outgoing CNA to ensure a smooth transition. The district has a history of renewing this contract annually, reflecting ongoing need and job stability.
