In this specialized role, you'll serve as a 1:1 CNA, ensuring the student's safety, supporting their health needs, and helping foster an inclusive environment conducive to learning.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) license required
- Previous experience with pediatric, school, or medically fragile populations strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of medication administration, personal care, and mobility assistance
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with school staff, healthcare professionals, and families
- Professionalism, empathy, and patience in all interactions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, one-on-one care to a student with complex medical needs throughout the school day
- Monitor and respond to the students health status, administering prescribed interventions as directed
- Assist with daily living activities, including feeding, hygiene, and mobility as needed
- Accurately document observations, interventions, and any changes in the students condition
- Communicate effectively with both school personnel and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Support the students participation in classroom activities while advocating for their safety and well-being
