A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support a middle school student with specialized healthcare needs in Jackson, NJ. This position requires compassionate and skilled care to manage a 1:1 caseload involving a fragile diabetic student, ensuring their health and well-being throughout the school day.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing assistance and monitor the student's diabetic condition closely
- Administer treatments and medication as prescribed
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with school staff regarding the students care needs
- Support the students safety and comfort throughout the school environment
- Collaborate with educational and healthcare personnel to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications:
- Current CNA certification is required
- Experience with diabetic monitoring and care within a school or pediatric setting
- Strong observational and communication skills to identify and report health changes promptly
- Ability to work independently while fostering a supportive learning environment for the student
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Location:
- Jackson, NJ (middle school setting)
Position Details:
- Full-time hours during the school semester, beginning February 25 through June 17
- Contract-based assignment, covering a full semester
- One school location assigned, supporting a single student
