Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) license preferred
  • Prior experience as a school CNA Nurse, Paraprofessional, or in a related student support role
  • Knowledge of proper wheelchair handling and lifting/transfer techniques
  • Compassionate approach to working with students with physical or developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to partner with educational and medical teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct 1:1 support to a student throughout the school day, ensuring safety, engagement, and accessibility
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, personal care, and classroom participation
  • Foster social and academic inclusion, helping the student access curriculum and school activities
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, therapists, and parents to coordinate care and progress
  • Support the students independence and confidence while encouraging participation in the school community
  • Complete daily documentation and uphold school policy and procedures
