Desired Qualifications:
- Background as a Behavior Specialist, Paraprofessional, or RBT in a school or similar setting
- Ability to support and implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families
- Experience with data collection and progress monitoring
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in diverse classroom settings
- Commitment to supporting students' social, emotional, and academic growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce positive behaviors and de-escalate challenging situations
- Implement and monitor behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of special education and clinical staff
- Track and document student progress and behavioral data
- Communicate regularly with teachers, related service providers, and caregivers about student progress
- Encourage student participation and independence in academic and social activities
