This position offers an opportunity to provide targeted behavioral support within an elementary school setting, focusing on students with mild to moderate disabilities in grades 1-4. The role is part-time, 25 hours per week, and based in Matawan, NJ, with responsibilities that may include supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans tailored to students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Work closely with teachers and staff to support positive behavioral outcomes in the classroom
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Potentially supervise Registered Behavior Technicians to ensure effective service delivery
- Collaborate with families and teams to foster comprehensive support
Qualifications:
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children, preferably grades 1-4
- Expertise in behavioral strategies and interventions for mild to moderate disabilities
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or experience as a Behavior Specialist is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educational teams
- Willingness to work part-time hours (25 hours weekly)
