Job Description

A part-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) opportunity is available in a high school setting in McHenry, Illinois, for the school year. This contract position requires availability for 1 to 2 days per week and supports students within a K-12 educational environment, specifically focusing on high school-aged learners. The role offers the chance to apply evidence-based behavior analysis strategies to promote positive student outcomes in an engaging school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to implement behavior strategies consistent with best practices.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and training to paraeducators or Registered Behavior Technicians as appropriate.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of programs that support student success.

Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Possession of an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in a relevant area.
  • Experience working within K-12 school settings, preferably with high school students.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with multidisciplinary staff and families.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently with flexibility for part-time hours.

Location: McHenry, Illinois (on-site)
