Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• State certification as a Behavior Specialist or Teacher for the Visually Impaired (or eligibility)
• Experience developing and implementing individualized educational and behavior intervention plans
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of assistive technology and accessible curriculum tools (for TVI roles)
• Ability to work with students with a range of behavioral or visual needs, from mild to moderate
• Familiarity with relevant laws and accommodations, including IDEA and Section 504

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement behavioral intervention programs or adaptive teaching strategies based on students IEP goals
• Provide direct instruction and support in both one-on-one and small group settings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to monitor student progress and adjust supports as needed
• Lead and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and effective service delivery
• Consult with classroom staff on behavior management or accessibility strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports as required
