Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is highly valued
- Previous experience as a Behavior Specialist or Paraprofessional in an educational or clinical setting
- Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies and techniques
- Ability to follow and implement individualized education or behavior intervention plans
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with students of diverse needs
- Professional communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavioral intervention strategies under the supervision of school staff or Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students requiring behavioral support
- Record and track student progress and behavioral data with accuracy
- Communicate progress and challenges to appropriate school personnel and participate in team meetings
- Assist with classroom management, transitions, and support positive learning environments
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to established policies and procedures to support student well-being
