Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
- Previous experience as a Behavior Specialist, Paraprofessional, or similar role in educational environments
- Strong knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior supports
- Capable of managing challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in a related field is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under supervision of board-certified behavior analysts or special education teams
- Provide direct support to students individually and in group settings
- Track and report student progress on goals and objectives
- Work with classroom teachers to adapt instructional materials and support inclusion
- Assist students with daily routines and encourage participation in educational activities
- Foster a safe, respectful, and positive environment for learners of all abilities
