Job Description

A Behavioral Consultant Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is needed for an on-site contract role serving K-12 students in a school district in Lakeville, MN. This position focuses on reducing suspension and dismissal rates, particularly among Black students with disabilities, as part of a district-wide initiative to foster equity and positive behavioral outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide BCBA consultation and applied behavior analysis services across multiple classrooms, primarily in settings with statistically higher suspension rates.
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement behavior intervention plans aimed at decreasing disciplinary actions.
  • Support data collection and analysis to monitor behavioral progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Engage with staff and families to promote understanding and support for behavioral goals.
  • Participate in Extended School Year (ESY) programming as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Current valid BCBA certification is required.
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings, preferably in diverse school environments.
  • Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and applied behavior analysis principles.
  • Commitment to equity and reducing disparities in disciplinary practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and district personnel.

Details:

  • Location: On-site, Lakeville, MN school district.
  • Contract duration through June 11, 2026.
  • Full-time schedule at 37.5 hours per week.
  • This is an itinerant role serving multiple classrooms.
