Job Description

This part-time position is ideal for a skilled Behavior Specialist or BCBA with experience supporting elementary students with mild to moderate disabilities. The role focuses on providing behavior intervention services within an elementary school setting, serving grades 1 through 4. The caseload primarily involves students with behavioral needs and the opportunity to supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).

Position Details:

  • Contract role
  • Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week
  • Elementary caseload with students in grades 1-4
  • Focus on mild to moderate disabilities
  • May include supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement and monitor behavior support plans
  • Provide training and supervision to RBTs to ensure high-quality behavioral services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress data related to behavior interventions
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or equivalent Behavior Specialist credential
  • Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children (grades 1-4)
  • Familiarity with mild to moderate disabilities and behavior interventions
  • Ability to supervise and support RBTs effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
