Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience providing behavioral support in a school-based setting
- Current RBT certification, or substantial experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist
- Strong understanding of behavioral intervention techniques and data collection
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable adapting strategies to meet individual student needs
- Familiarity with IEP goals and documentation a plus
Responsibilities:
- Implement individual behavior intervention plans under supervision of lead staff
- Gather and record behavioral data to track student progress
- Support classroom routines, offering one-on-one or small group assistance
- Reinforce positive behaviors and provide guidance during challenging situations
- Maintain open communication with teachers, families, and support staff
- Assist with social skills instruction and crisis management, as needed
- Foster an encouraging and safe learning environment for all students
