Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience providing behavioral support in a school-based setting
  • Current RBT certification, or substantial experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist
  • Strong understanding of behavioral intervention techniques and data collection
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable adapting strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Familiarity with IEP goals and documentation a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individual behavior intervention plans under supervision of lead staff
  • Gather and record behavioral data to track student progress
  • Support classroom routines, offering one-on-one or small group assistance
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and provide guidance during challenging situations
  • Maintain open communication with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Assist with social skills instruction and crisis management, as needed
  • Foster an encouraging and safe learning environment for all students
