Job Description

Embark on a meaningful contract role supporting students, families, and staff as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in a dynamic, itinerant position. This is an opportunity to drive positive change across multiple classroom environments, focusing on reducing suspensions and improving outcomes for Black students with disabilities. Collaborate closely with educators to implement effective behavior strategies and be a key consultative resource in a forward-thinking district initiative. This contract runs through June 11, 2026, with the possibility to extend support through Extended School Year (ESY) services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid national certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Previous behavior specialist experience within school settings preferred
  • Commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in education
  • Strong consultation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions for varied classroom environments
  • Skilled in leading teams and communicating constructively with diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an itinerant BCBA supporting four classrooms with historically higher suspension rates
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and design tailored intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and school teams to implement proactive behavior strategies
  • Analyze data to monitor progress and inform continuous improvement
  • Focus efforts on reducing suspensions for Black students with disabilities
  • Participate in department-wide initiatives and professional development
  • Consult and assist with crisis intervention as needed
