Key Qualifications:
- Certification or training as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Behavior Specialist, or Paraprofessional
- Experience implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) in educational settings
- Strong skills in de-escalation, crisis prevention, and positive reinforcement strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, counselors, families, and other specialists
- Patience, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of students
Primary Duties:
- Assist with the development and execution of individualized behavior intervention plans
- Work closely with students needing behavioral support, providing direct intervention and reinforcement
- Monitor student behaviors, document progress, and regularly report updates to relevant team members
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent, school-wide application of behavior management strategies
- Participate in team meetings, contribute insights, and support professional development efforts related to behavioral health
