A unique opportunity is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school district focused on equity and student success. This contract position offers the chance to work onsite in Burnsville, MN, serving multiple classrooms with a commitment to reducing disciplinary disparities affecting students of color, particularly Black students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral consultation and support across four classrooms with elevated suspension rates.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and specialists to design and implement effective interventions that promote positive student behavior.
- Focus on reducing suspensions and dismissals among Black students with disabilities as part of the districts equity initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing data collection, progress monitoring, and reporting to measure intervention effectiveness.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to professional development related to behavior support and cultural responsiveness.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid national BCBA certification.
- Experience working in K-12 school settings, preferably with diverse student populations.
- Demonstrated expertise in behavior assessment, intervention, and consultation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices in education.
Location:
- Onsite position based in Burnsville, MN serving a local school district.
