Job Description

This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate closely across diverse classrooms, specifically focusing on reducing suspensions and disciplinary actions for Black students with disabilitiesa vital and rewarding initiative aligned with an overall department mission.

As a BCBA, youll serve various sites within the district, consulting and supporting classrooms identified to make the greatest impact. Travel between different settings is required as you leverage your expertise to help foster positive behavioral change, empower fellow educators, and shape equitable school policies.

Qualifications/Desired Experience

  • Valid BCBA national certification required
  • Demonstrated experience working within school or educational settings
  • Strong background in behavioral analysis, with a particular focus on equity and inclusion
  • Comfortable consulting across multiple classrooms and supporting staff teams
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and present data related to student outcomes
  • Collaborates effectively and communicates with diverse teams
  • Experience supporting students of color and students with disabilities is highly valued

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a behavioral consultant for classrooms with higher rates of suspension among students of color
  • Advise school staff on strategies to reduce disciplinary disparities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans
  • Present and analyze data on progress and recommend improvements
  • Support district-wide efforts to foster equitable educational experiences
  • Work on-site in various classrooms; occasional ESY (extended school year) work may be included
  • Maintain thorough documentation and report on student progress
