Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a BCBA/Autism Specialist for the upcoming 20262027 school year, supporting students and educators across four dynamic school sites near Springfield, MA. This onsite, full-time contract role centers on enhancing educational outcomes for students with autism through behavioral consultation, staff coaching, and the implementation of evidence-based support plans.
Your expertise will empower teachers, paraprofessionals, and multidisciplinary teams to cultivate positive learning environments. As you deliver essential servicesfrom Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)your influence will extend across classrooms and grade levels.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active BCBA certification (must include a screenshot of certification with your application)
- Demonstrated history in a school-based BCBA or autism specialist role is highly valued
- Skilled in conducting FBAs and creating individualized BIPs
- Proven ability to coach teachers and paraprofessionals on proactive behavior strategies
- Comfortable supporting autism classrooms and collaborating with teams
- Successful completion of drug screening, fingerprinting, and a background check (CORI)
- Reliable transportation required for travel among four school locations
- Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite behavioral consultation and classroom support across multiple sites
- Complete comprehensive FBAs and design effective BIPs tailored to student needs
- Provide direct coaching to school staff, enhancing their capacity to implement behavior support plans
- Foster partnership among educators, paraprofessionals, and other specialists
- Support safe and inclusive environments for students on the autism spectrum
