Seeking a skilled and compassionate professional with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification to make a significant impact in a school setting near West Sacramento, CA. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance the educational experience and behavioral outcomes for students.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Must hold active BCBA certification.
- Proven experience working within school environments is highly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of behavior intervention strategies and individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Strong communication skills and ability to consult with both staff and family members.
- Ability to quickly adapt to diverse student needs and school cultures.
- Current knowledge of ethical practices and legal regulations governing special education and behavioral health.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop personalized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Train and support school staff in the implementation of behavior plans and positive behavioral supports.
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor student progress and make data-driven adjustments.
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing detailed insights and behavior recommendations.
- Engage directly with students to model and reinforce positive behaviors.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure consistent support across school and home settings.
