Step into a vital role supporting student success as a contract behavioral professional near Troy, NY. This onsite opportunity focuses on providing specialized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to a single 5th-grade student, ensuring meaningful progress in their school environment. You'll work part-time, dedicating about 10 hours per week, making a significant difference through individualized intervention.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid NY licensure or certification as an ABA Therapist, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Demonstrated experience implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions in educational settings
- Knowledge of data collection and analysis related to behavioral progress
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in response to unique student needs
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct ABA services to one 5th-grade student in accordance with their Individualized Education Program (IEP) or behavior plan
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention strategies
- Collect and maintain accurate data to track student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families to ensure consistency and efficacy of approaches
- Participate in team meetings and provide input regarding student progress and recommendations for ongoing support
