Job Description

Make a meaningful difference by supporting young learners in an intensive needs program. This full-time contract opportunity seeks either a Special Education Teacher or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) prepared to address the diverse needs of students from PreK to grade 2. You will work closely with children who have autism, developmental delays, and limited verbal communication skills, using your expertise to help them thrive in a supportive school community.

What were looking for:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification (required)
  • Severe special needs licensure highly preferred
  • Experience working with PreK2 students, especially those with autism or developmental delays
  • Skilled in utilizing AAC devices to support limited verbal communication
  • Knowledge of behavioral interventions and strategies
  • Strong collaboration skills with school staff, families, and related service providers

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students within the intensive needs program
  • Apply specialized instructional strategies to promote student learning and independence
  • Support social and communication skill development, incorporating AAC devices as needed
  • Collect data, monitor progress, and adjust interventions to meet evolving student needs
  • Collaborate with therapists, paraprofessionals, and families to create holistic support systems
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth
