Job Description

Step into a contract role dedicated to supporting student success through expert behavioral consultation and collaboration. This part-time opportunity is located close to Somerville, MA, offering a flexible schedule of two days per week during the school year. Engage with a diverse group of approximately 29 students, spanning grades 2-5 and middle school, all receiving consultation services as part of their IEPs. Your expertise will empower staff and enrich classroom environments through timely guidance, strategic behavioral interventions, and ongoing support for teachers and students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
  • Previous experience in public schools is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Strong background supporting students with behavioral challenges and addressing their needs with evidence-based intervention strategies
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with educators, students, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Seeking individuals who are creative, compassionate, and team-oriented

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver behavioral consultation services for staff and students
  • Update and assist in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Work closely with classroom teams, providing on-the-spot guidance and intervention support
  • Partner with special education staff and administrators to promote positive outcomes for all students
