Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Experience working with children and adolescents, ideally within a school environment
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop behavior intervention plans, and provide ongoing support
- Organizational skills to manage multiple cases and documentation efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and analyze data to identify the root causes of behavioral challenges
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans for students in collaboration with school staff
- Train and provide ongoing support to teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff in best practices for behavior management and intervention
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute behavior expertise to support IEP development
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Assist with crisis intervention when necessary, modeling de-escalation techniques and reinforcing positive behaviors
