Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) within a dedicated intensive needs program. This full-time contract role focuses on empowering students in PreK through grade 2 who have autism, developmental delays, and limited verbal communication abilities. Your specialized knowledge will play a vital part in fostering an environment where every child has the tools and encouragement to achieve their goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification required
- Severe licensure preferred for those interested in the intensive needs program
- Experience supporting PreK2 students with autism and developmental delays
- Skilled in the use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Strong background collaborating with students who have limited verbal communication skills
- Open to candidates with BCBA credentials
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students IEP goals
- Implement evidence-based strategies to facilitate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary teamincluding paraprofessionals, related service providers, and familiesto ensure holistic support
- Employ AAC devices to enhance communication and engagement for nonverbal or minimally verbal students
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as needed to optimize learning outcomes
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom setting
