Job Description

This full-time contract position invites applications from experienced Special Education TeachersBCBAs are also encouraged to apply. Youll make a meaningful impact working with young learners from PreK to grade 2, focusing on those with autism, developmental delays, and limited verbal communication abilities.

Youll play a key role in supporting students growth, helping to implement individualized instructional strategies, and collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals. Your expertise with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices will be crucial for fostering student engagement and success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification is required
  • Severe special education licensure preferred
  • Experience working with students ages PreK2
  • Proven background supporting learners with autism and developmental delays
  • Proficiency in using AAC devices and strategies to support limited verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized instructional plans for students in the intensive needs program
  • Utilize AAC devices and alternative communication strategies to enhance student participation
  • Track and document student progress, adapting strategies based on ongoing assessments
  • Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth in a supportive classroom setting
  • Partner closely with families and related service providers to ensure student needs are met
